The final battle at the WESG 2018-2019 Grand Finals between Maru and Scarlett for the 3rd place was held in Bo5 format. After the first 2 maps, Scarlett lead with 2:0 score, but Maru found the strength to make comeback and won the match.
More than one hour and a half needed to find out the winner of the first map - King's Cove. It was a truly economic game and in the end, there were no more minerals and gas over the map. After one hour, when the situation was like a cold war when no one could go to direct fights, Maru even offers to end this match with a tie. But still, even with low supply Scarlett managed to win with an army of Queens and Zerglings. No doubt you should find this game on Twitch or YouTube and watch it again.

The second map was Kairos Junction and it went way more quickly. Scarlett made Nydus Worm in an early game and simply load Maru‘s base with Zerglings and Queens, made the score 2:0 in her favor.
But then Maru looks like figured out how to play against Scarlett. Canadian Zerg tried different tactics, but this time Korean Terran was ready. In the end, Maru won 3 maps in a row and took the 3rd place at WESG 2018-2019 and an additional $20,000 of prize money.
